Watched "Who Killed the Electric Car" recently (great documentary), then i heard that GM and Tesla are making another run at the electric car (yay for progress!) hopefully development of this technology can continue forward uninterrupted by the powers that depend on oil consumption.

I enjoyed this movie because it raised some very interesting and far reaching economic connections. Growing up in a family of Ford 4th generation lead engineers, this movie raise some very serious questions that the movie shows have no clear answers. What was clear is the motivator is money, power and oil that is all those combined. There are so many industry common factors that enter into this complex issue. It pains me to say, but if America is not careful the American pillars of the auto manufactures are just the start of the fall of our American modern day Roman empire.
